MSP AIMS AT ACHIEVING THE GOAL
Everyone respects that man who knows distinctly what he
wishes. The greater part of all mischief in the world arises from the fact that
men do not sufficiently understand their own aims. How much intelligent a man
may be, no matter how sharply their aptitudes are defined, no matter how
brilliantly they may be educated unless they are oriented towards the proper
goals and have the drive or motivating force to succeed.

Msp was developed by the office of government commerce (OGC)
an independent office of the UK Treasury, and supported by a full range of
commercial partners. It was first released in 1999 and in 2007 a third version
was released to reflect the evolving knowledge of programme management. Msp is
the UK government best practice standard for effective programme management and
is globally recognized qualification.
Msp course trained the professionals in handling the number
of programme. A programme is made up of projects identified by an organization
that will deliver a defined objective, or set objectives for the organization .A
programme can only succeed if the projects within the programme are completed,
therefore the trained programme managers are good in coordinating the project
and taking into final goal.
Msp is also successful in managing changes within the business,
whether it is internal such as increasing the range of products, or external
such as implementing new government policy.msp professional are skilled in
handling change proactively and provides a framework for handling complexity
and risk.
Msp defines programme management as the action of carrying
out the coordinated organization, direction and implementation of a dossier of
projects and transformational activities to achieve outcome and realize
benefits of strategic importance to the business.
The basic goal of msp is to provide a framework of best
practice principles, define and implement the governance requirements for the
programme, enable the practitioners to identify the aim of the programme,
envisage benefits for the organization, adapt theory to practice, improve
decision making and implement beneficial changes and to be available for
organizations and individuals.
Most of the businesses are looking for the employees who
have the msp certification .Directly it is giving benefits to the whole
workforce environment. It has a standard and consistent approach to programme
management .It provides a framework for the practitioners to direct the change
process while ensuring the focus is maintained on the business objectives. Msppractitioner will able to define the programme and state how the organization
will be different after the change has been implemented. They will manage a
business case for the programme and plan the work so it will have the desired
end result’s .Practitioner will organize the workforce to ensure everyone knows
their responsibilities and ensure lines of communication are kept open .Resources
is used efficiently and ensures the final goal has been achieved.

CALLING ALL MSP PRACTITIONERS!
Netflix are in desperate need of some help in order to get
their rankings up and compete with Sky.
MSP; Managing Successful Programmes is one of the most
prestigious programme management certifications and therefore is desperately
needed by the company Netflix.
Netflix has now launched into the UK and is desperate to be
spoken of in the same way as BBC or Sky. Its main rival is Sky as they are the
leading subscription TV provider in the UK at the moment. Sky Movies and Sky
Atlantic have gained fame and popularity in the UK due to its ability to
provide the big US shows and films and provide them for the UK audience.
Netflix also wants to achieve this, and provide for those users who are
unwilling to subscribe to Sky for whatever reason.
Now, it does look a little crazy that a company who simply
provide ‘watch again’ services now competing with a company who have over 10
million subscribers. So, the big question is; can a streaming service really
compete with ‘real’ television?
However things are changing, it is thought that users will
not be able to tell the different soon whether a TV show was made for YouTube
or the television.
In order to keep up to date with these changes Netflix needs
to change alongside everyone else. Hence, why it desperately needs a programme
management scheme in place; one just as successful as MSP.
However, Netflix does have a few hurdles which it must
overcome before it can compete in the UK market. This is due to the bad
publicity they created with the rising in price which therefore led to many US
customers leaving their company and going to a new one.
Further to this they will also have to fight for the right
to be able to show the big sit coms and films which companies such as Sky have
the right to broadcast to their customers. for a small company and brand name
to take on the big and famous Sky is a brave move for any company. and
therefore it is vital that they have the right management scheme in place in
order to carry them to finish line of the race.
Indeed MSP has the ability to do this because of its logical
and structured approach to programme management. It has taken on some of the
biggest projects in the world and still remained on top. It has a history of
success and no failures. Therefore to take on MSP is a no brainer! Furthermore
in order to take on the MSP structure it is important that those individuals involved
in making these changes does endeavour to take the MSP course in order to
become an MSP practitioner and will therefore be qualified to make these
changes and create success for Netflix.
