CALLING ALL MSP PRACTITIONERS!

Netflix are in desperate need of some help in order to get their rankings up and compete with Sky.

MSP; Managing Successful Programmes is one of the most prestigious programme management certifications and therefore is desperately needed by the company Netflix.

Netflix has now launched into the UK and is desperate to be spoken of in the same way as BBC or Sky. Its main rival is Sky as they are the leading subscription TV provider in the UK at the moment. Sky Movies and Sky Atlantic have gained fame and popularity in the UK due to its ability to provide the big US shows and films and provide them for the UK audience. Netflix also wants to achieve this, and provide for those users who are unwilling to subscribe to Sky for whatever reason.

Now, it does look a little crazy that a company who simply provide ‘watch again’ services now competing with a company who have over 10 million subscribers. So, the big question is; can a streaming service really compete with ‘real’ television?

However things are changing, it is thought that users will not be able to tell the different soon whether a TV show was made for YouTube or the television.

In order to keep up to date with these changes Netflix needs to change alongside everyone else. Hence, why it desperately needs a programme management scheme in place; one just as successful as MSP.

However, Netflix does have a few hurdles which it must overcome before it can compete in the UK market. This is due to the bad publicity they created with the rising in price which therefore led to many US customers leaving their company and going to a new one.

Further to this they will also have to fight for the right to be able to show the big sit coms and films which companies such as Sky have the right to broadcast to their customers. for a small company and brand name to take on the big and famous Sky is a brave move for any company. and therefore it is vital that they have the right management scheme in place in order to carry them to finish line of the race.

Indeed MSP has the ability to do this because of its logical and structured approach to programme management. It has taken on some of the biggest projects in the world and still remained on top. It has a history of success and no failures. Therefore to take on MSP is a no brainer! Furthermore in order to take on the MSP structure it is important that those individuals involved in making these changes does endeavour to take the MSP course in order to become an MSP practitioner and will therefore be qualified to make these changes and create success for Netflix.
